Raw Material: Enabling Sustainable Production

Our technology is designed to be flexible, utilizing a variety of plant-based carbohydrates to produce bio-MEG and bio-MPG. At the core of our process is the responsible sourcing of renewable raw materials, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.

A key feedstock for our Bio-MEG production is dextrose, a carbohydrate derived from corn. Primient, a leader in plant-based industrial ingredients, supplies this high-quality, renewable raw material. With a strong heritage in corn wet milling, Primient ensures a consistent and sustainable supply, reinforcing our commitment to responsible production.

The new Lafayette facility will convert Primient’s dextrose into Bio-MEG, a renewable chemical essential for manufacturing polyethylene terephthalate (PET). PET is widely used in textiles (apparel, footwear) and packaging (beverage bottles, food containers), making Bio-MEG a critical component in advancing sustainable solutions.

By leveraging agricultural feedstocks, our production process not only reduces dependence on fossil resources but also drives economic benefits throughout the supply chain. Local farmers will play a crucial role in supplying the corn that serves as the foundation for Bio-MEG production, creating new opportunities in the agricultural sector and beyond.
