Sustainea Bioglycols, an innovatice company focused on renewable chemicals with a low-carbon footprint (Bio-MEG), announced its participation in a COP30 side event panel. The company’s CEO, Gustavo Sergi, Sustainability & LCA Leader Milena Pithon and Specialist Flávia Moré will be attending the conference.
COP30 brings together world leaders, scientists, and innovators to address urgent climate challenges matters in the hope that by bringing actionable change it will be possible to accelerate progress towards financing a safer and greener future.
Sustainea’s participation in the panel, “Industry and Academia Panel: How Agriculture is Increasing Resilience, Mitigating Emissions, and Improving Farm Productivity,” reflects its commitment to the agenda of advancing the bioeconomy through innovation and collaboration. The panel will take place on November 18 at a COP30 side event in the Blue Zone, Side Event Room 9, Area C, hosted by the Plant Based Products Council (PBPC), the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Foundation, the Animal Agriculture Alliance, and the North American Meat Institute.
Representing Sustainea on the panel, Milena Pithon, Sustainability & LCA Leader, will share insights on how renewable chemicals can accelerate the defossilization of the industry by capturing carbon and enhancing supply chain resilience, while also promoting market diversification and empowering local farmers. Focused on a sustainable value chain, Sustainea enables brand owners across sectors to meet carbon reduction targets without compromising product performance.
